RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh State Assembly Speaker Dr Charan Das Mahant and Agriculture Minister Ravindra Coubey on Thursday flagged off the ‘Insurance Vehicle’ which will create awareness among the state farmers on crop insurance schemes.

The vehicle will tour various districts of the state till December 15. Farmers will be made aware about ‘Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana’ and Weather based Crop Insurance Scheme, an official communication said.
The Rabi season for the year 2022 is scheduled to commence. The target is to cover the maximum farmers under the crop insurance scheme. Apart from it, the fourth crop insurance week is being celebrated from December 1 to 7.
The last date for availing benefits from both the insurance schemes is also December 15.
