CG News: School students to get concessional tickets for ODI

RAIPUR: The school children will have a discounted ticket rate of Rs 300 to witness the first one day international match of the India-New Zealand to be held on January 21 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, Nava Raipur. Announcing the rates of tickets, Chhattisgarh State Cricket Association's Zubin Shah, former president Baldev Singh Bhatia, former secretary Rajesh Dave said that online booking will be open on the first four days and tickets will be delivered at home. The online ticket sale will commence from January 12. They said, tickets for school children will be available for Rs 300, followed by Rs 500, Rs 1000, Rs 1250 and Rs 1500. Silver tickets will be available for Rs 5,000, gold for Rs 6,000 to Rs 7,500 range. Corporate tickets will be available for Rs 10,000. Tickets will also be available at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium and the office of the District Association, they said. Shah said a separate rate has been fixed for the food stall. The audience is not permitted to bring food and drinks from outside the limits of the stadium. Reverse Osmosis (RO) water will be provided free of cost. The two samosas will cost Rs.50, one patty for Rs.30, two kachoris for Rs.40, burger-sandwich for Rs.50, biryani for Rs.150 and chole rice for Rs.100. They clarified that several controversies had erupted during earlier events held at the stadium, due to which prior release of the list of food available and rates were being done. Shah said that the Indian and New Zealand teams will reach Raipur on January 19. Both teams will practice on the 20th. The match will be played on January 21st. On any Covid guidelines, they said till date no guideline related to Covid-19 has been issued. The status of Covid-19 in the state is normal. Based on the instructions of the BCCI and the district administration, any decision will be taken.
