RAIPUR: Based on the assurance given by Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, the Chhattisgarh Bharatiya Janata Party ended its 11-days sit-in-demonstration on Saturday against construction of Chowpatty near the educational hub in Raipur. BJP State president and MP Arun Sao said that the protest is not against the Chowpatty but to save Raipur city. The Raipur Municipal Corporation is trying to destroy the education hub region of the city. Leader of Opposition Narayan Chandel said the Government of India has constituted an inquiry team for the works related to Raipur Smart City Project. On its basis the movement will conclude. Former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said that the Union Minister has promised that all the works of Smart City in Raipur will be investigated. The guilty will not be spared. On the assurance, he said the sit-in-demonstration led by Rajesh Munat is being postponed. The movement will continue in every ward against the corruption of Smart City and Municipal Corporation. To end the movement, Raman Singh offered coconut water to Munat to postpone it. Earlier, led by Munat, a delegation had met Union Minister Hardeep Puri at New Delhi, raising the issue of corruption in the Smart City Project of Raipur.
