RAIPUR: Pathology Department of Pt. J.N.M. Medical College Raipur is organising 17th Annual State Conference of Pathology CAPCON 2022-23 on 4th and 5th February 2023. Approx 150 delegates from Medical Colleges, Practicing Pathologists and P.G. Students are expects to participate in this two days conference to be held in newly built Atal Bihari Bajpai Auditorium situated in college campus. In its formal Inaugural Ceremony, Dr. Ashok Chandrakar-Vice Chancellor of Ayush Health Sciences University will be presiding officer and R. Prasanna, Secretary Health will be the Chief- Guest. Besides them, Dr. Vishnu Dutt, DME, Dr. Tripti Nagria Dean, Dr. S.B.S. Netam Medical Superintendent, Dr. Renuka Gahine President IAPM Chhattisgarh and Dr. Jayanti Chandrakar Secretary will be Guest of honour in this ceremony. Conference organising committee Chairman Dr. Arvind Neral has informed that Dr. K. Swaminathan from Tirunelveli Medical College Tamilnadu will deliver lectures on Needle Core Biopsy in Breast lesions and Diagnosis of Dermatitis. Associate Professor Dr. Suma Sheshadri of Kidwai Memorial Oncology Institute of Bengluru will be Presenting on Endometrial Biopsies and Molecular Updates in Endometrial Tumours. Dr. D.K. Mishra, Consultant Pathologist from L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad will share his experiences of Histopathology of various parts of Eyes. Renowned Haematologist from Nagpur Dr. Avinash Pophli will discuss the issues related to Myeloproliferative Disorders and interpretation of Peripheral Smears. Dr. Renuka Gahine, Dean Medical College Rajnandgaon will focus on issues related to histopathology in infertility cases while Professor Rabia Parveen Siddiqui will present some interesting Histopathology cases. Faculty members of Pathology Department of Medical College Raipur will jointly discuss resent advances in Histopathology. To encourage the young bidding Pathologists, Post-Graduate Students will be involved in free paper, poster presentation and inter college Pathology Quiz and winners will be awarded. For successful and smooth conduction of this big scientific and academic event organising committee will leave no stone unturned.
