RAJNANDGAON: Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh has secured the third position nationwide in the delta ranking declared by NITI Aayog for the agriculture and water resources fields under aspirational districts.
The district's remarkable achievement has earned it praise as a ‘Champion of Change’.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel congratulated the district administration, Panchayat, Agriculture, and Water Resources Department officers and employees for their outstanding work.
The NITI Ayog released data reflects progress in various indicators including the expansion of micro-irrigation, the development of water sources under MNREGA, animal vaccination, artificial insemination, and enhanced agricultural productivity.
Rajnandgaon district achieved a milestone by securing the third position in the delta ranking for the most developed aspirational districts in the country, as per the May 2023 release. The district's farmers have greatly benefited from the state government's farmer-friendly schemes like Suraji Gaon Yojana, Godhan NYAY Yojana, and Rajiv Gandhi Kisan NYAY Yojana, coupled with advancements in agriculture and modern technology. Additionally, innovative water management initiatives have yielded positive outcomes, contributing to the overall prosperity of the district.
