Mass safety pep-talk organised under road safety month at NTPC

Under observance of road safety month, a mass safety pep-talk organised at NTPC Lara on 25th January 2024. Akhilesh Singh, Head of Project (Lara) administered safety pledge to all contractual workers working inside NTPC Lara plant. Singh also advised to follow all safety procedures and properly inspect the work area before commencement of work. If they feel any sign of lack of safety, they should not move ahead with their mission. Around 1000 contract labourers participated in this occasion. At NTPC Lara, January month is observed as road safety month. Information’s related to road safety is disseminated to employees and contact workers.

On this occasion, welding aprons were distributed to those contract workers engaged in welding and cutting jobs. As an initiative towards inculcating safety culture among all, at NTPC Lara safety steward has been nominated among the contract workers. They inform safety department on any safety hazard at workplace. To motivate the safety steward’ssmart safety stewards were awarded by Akhilesh Singh, Head of Project. 

On this occasion Rajeev Ranjan, General Manager (Maintenance), SK Roy, General Manager (Operation), Ravi Shankar, General Manager (Project), SK Swain, General Manager (Fuel Management), Ranjan Kumar, Additional General Manager (Safety), Head of departments, employees and contract workers were present on this occasion.
