Raipur, Chhattisgarh: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that education is the basic mantra of development. Many provisions have been made in the budget for the development of education.
He was addressing while inaugurating the PM Shri Yojana in Chhattisgarh.
Sai said the state will recruit 33,000 teachers and construct the school buildings.
He said that under the PM Shri Yojana, work on vocational education, skill development and infrastructure development of schools will be done in selected 211 schools. The exchequer was left empty by the previous government but the present government is committed to education.
School Education Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal said it will be the endeavor to provide multilingual education to children in Chhattisgarh as per the National Education Policy.
He said that under PM Usha Yojana, a grant of Rs 100 crore has been approved to Bastar University, Rs 20 crore each to Ravi Shankar University and Atal Bihari Vajpayee University, Bilaspur.
He said that the state will develop 25,000 schools as smart schools in the next five years. Want to provide free shoes, socks and bags to primary and middle school children in remote areas. Plans are afoot to give free books to the children of class 11th and 12th also. The program was also addressed by Central Education Secretary Sanjay Kumar, Education Secretary of Chhattisgarh Siddharth Komal Pardeshi.
