RAIPUR,CG: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai extended best wishes to Jageshwar Yadav on receiving ‘Padma Shri’ on Friday.
Jageshwar Yadav, known as ‘Brother of Birhor’, worked for the uplift of special backward tribes in Chhattisgarh, was honored with Padma Shri by the President Droupadi Murmu at the function held Rashtrapati Bhawan.
In his message on social media handle, Sai said, Jageshwar Yadav’s life is inspirational. It is a moment of pride for the entire state. He dedicated his entire life to tribal uplift and is inspiring and exemplary.
Yadav's name was selected for the Padma Shri award of 2024. He has been honored for his excellent work for the uplift of Birhor tribes of Jashpur district. Yadav has done work like making the tribes literate and reducing the infant mortality rate.
