Chhattisgarh to get monsoon by June 12

RAIPUR,CG: The Meteorological Department, Raipur has said that the arrival of monsoon in Chhattisgarh from June 12 to 15.

The department said due to the system formed in the central and south Indian states, pre-monsoon rains are occurring in Chhattisgarh, due to which the weather of the state has become pleasant. There is still no significant change in the maximum temperature.

The changes are being seen in the weather of the state for the last 3-4 days. Due to this, humidity and heat have increased. On Wednesday, the highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 43.3 degrees in Bemetara. The maximum temperature in the districts of the state ranges from 36 degrees to 43.3 degrees. There will be no significant change in the maximum temperature of Chhattisgarh in the next 24 hours.

Raipur Meteorological Center scientist Gayatri Vani Kanchibhotla said that a trough is located over northwestern Rajasthan, which extends to Bangladesh via Northern Madhya Pradesh, Southern Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and West Bengal. The system remains in place in central and south Indian states. Due to the effect of the system, there is an alert of light rain with thunder at one or two places in the state in the next 2-3 days including Thursday. Along with this, there is also a warning of lightning and thunderstorms. The maximum temperature of the state is likely to increase by 2 to 3 degrees in the next 3 days.
