CG NEWS: Secretary to CM inspects various spots

RAIPUR,CG: Secretary to Chief Minister and urban administration department, Dr Basavaraju S and Raipur Collector Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh on Friday inspected Indira Smriti Van located at Telibandha Pond, Katora Pond and Dal Seoni.

Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra was also present.

Dr. Raju aske officials to maintain cleanliness in Telibandha pond. The damages that have occurred in the pathway should be repaired. Close the open electrical boxes. Proper arrangements should be made for the intake and water drainage system in the pond. It is the heart of the city where a large number of citizens come for morning and evening walks. It has a distinct identity. Accordingly, it should be beautified and it should be kept in mind that the visiting citizens do not face any kind of problem.

He said that programs are organized from time to time, keeping it in mind, an action plan should be made for making an open theatre.

Collector Dr. Singh said that the pathway is mainly known for walking. Toys, buses, and cars should be diverted from the route so that the walk can be done safely. It was directed to start classes like yoga in the morning.

Secretary then inspected Katora Talab (Pond) where he asked to create a kids zone and open-gym for children. He called up the agency appointed by the Municipal Corporation to maintain the cleanliness of the pond-pathway. It should not allow dirt to spread in the pond water.

Later, he also inspected Indira Smriti Van located in Dalal Seoni, spread over 67 acres.

Dr. Raju said that it should be completely developed as a big park, where greenery is visible all around. Any commercial structure constructed, should be done outside the premises. It would help people to walk freely.
