RAIPUR,CG: As part of preparing a vision document for developing Chhattisgarh, members of the Rural and Urban Infrastructure Working Group discussed the works of infrastructure construction in the State NITI Aayog with a view to providing basic facilities to the citizens.

NITI Aayog member Dr. K Subramaniam was present.

Principal Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Niharika Barik presented important information for the work of increasing roads, drinking water, housing and other civic facilities.

Dr Basavaraju S, Secretary to the Chief Minister and Secretary, Urban Administration and Development Department presented other vital information including roads, drinking water drainage system, solid waste management and sewerage water treatment in urban areas.

Special Secretary, Water Resources Department, Rajesh Sukumar Toppo made a presentation on water sources including irrigation facilities. Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department, Mohammad Qaiser Abdul Haq presentation on drinking water schemes.

The members placed their suggestions regarding transport, housing, power, water and sanitation.  Collector Raipur spoke on increasing civic facilities in urban and rural areas of Raipur district.

Member Secretary of NITI Aayog Anoop Srivastava and officials from various departments, NGOs representatives were also present.
