CG NEWS: PHC Gidhpuri, Damakheda gets NQAS certificate

RAIPUR,CG: The primary health centre Gidhpuri of Palari block and Damakheda of Simga of the Balodabazar-Bhatapara district have been awarded National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) Certificate for providing quality health services. 

The Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr MP Mahishwar, National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate (NQAS) is given at the national level for providing high quality health services. Till now 12 hospitals of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district have received the certificate.

The National Quality Assurance Standard is done at three levels, district, state and national. Inspection team comes from other states for final evaluation. The certificate is given to the health institution only if the score is more than 70 percent. In the evaluation, Gidhpuri got 81.29 percent marks and Damakheda got 88.77 percent marks. The evaluation included facility availability, patients' rights, input, support service, clinical service, infection prevention, quality management and outcomes. 

The CMHO said, the responsibility of guidance was given to the Block Medical Officers of Simga and Palari, Dr. Paras Patel and Dr. B.S. Dhruv.

Before these institutions, Katgi, Barpali, Hathband, Jarve, Mopka while Ayushman Arogya Mandir Sasaha, Jara, Baya, Devpur, Rampur have received the certificate. Manager Srishti Mishra, this year there are 45 other health centres in the district which are striving for NQAS certificate and they are being trained and supported by forming a team from the district.
