CG NEWS: Hard work made elections a national festival: Singh

RAIPUR,CG: Raipur District Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh on Tuesday said when there was a relative decline in the voting percentage in the entire country, the voting percentage in Raipur Lok Sabha was not only maintained as compared to earlier, but also increased. It is the result of the hard work of our officers and employees working from top to ground level.

He was addressing the felicitation ceremony of officers and employees working in the Lok Sabha elections at a function held at Shahid Smarak Building.

He said a new task is challenging for any new team. At the time of Lok Sabha elections, there was a new team. The entire team not only accepted the challenge, but also faced it with enthusiasm and gave excellent results.

The most special thing in elections was employee welfare. The arrangement for coolers, freezers or trolleys to carry goods for all the people, be it the SST team or those voting or counting, or vehicles to take them to the polling booth, was a topic of discussion at the national level. The entire team deserves congratulations for all of it.

The officers were kept away from any kind of inconvenience during the elections. The effort was to ensure that the polling team or the officers and employees on duty do not face any kind of problems. The Collector said that the police department worked with better coordination.

He said that the team of Municipal Corporation and District Panchayat worked with coordination and dedication for the availability of resources in the Panchayat and urban areas, which was helpful in conducting the election work smoothly.

SSP Santosh Singh said that all the officers and employees did good work in the Lok Sabha elections, due to which the elections were successfully conducted. This is a huge responsibility, which has to be fulfilled with utmost care. Everyone keeps an eye on Raipur.

SVEEP programs were conducted before voting. Voting percentage also increased. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra, District Panchayat CEO Vishwadeep, Assistant Collector Anupama Anand and other officers and employees were present.
