Chhattisgarh CM seeks expansion of sports facilities

RAIPUR,CG: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met Union Minister of Labour, Employment, Youth and Sports Affairs Mansukh Mandaviya on Wednesday urging him to provide more assistance for employment generation, labour welfare and expansion of sports facilities in the state.

During the meeting at the Minister's residence in New Delhi, the Chief Minister briefed him about the progress made in the fields of labour, employment, and sports in the state. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma was also present.

Sai highlighting the steps undertaken said it includes an increase in the minimum wage rate, implementation of labour welfare schemes and creation of new employment opportunities. He sought more cooperation from the Central Government to reduce the rate of unemployment in the state.

In the realm of youth affairs and sports, the Chief Minister sought increased support from the Central Government to enhance these schemes, enabling the state's youth to excel at national and international levels.

Mandaviya commended the Chief Minister's efforts and praised the steps taken towards development in the state. He assured that the Central Government would extend all possible support to Chhattisgarh.
