RAIPUR,CG: Ambikapur, Bilaspur and Jagdalpur airports in the state of Chhattisgarh have been identified for development and operation of RCS flights under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS)- UDAN scheme of the Government of India.
Under UDAN, Rs 215.13 crore has been allocated for the development of these airports, out of which Rs 191.64 crore has been spent till June 30, 2024.
Under the scheme, an amount of Rs 90 crore has been sanctioned for Ambikapur, Rs 55 crore for Bilaspur and Rs 70.13 crore for Jagdalpur.
Information regarding promotion of helicopter taxis at major tourist attractions by the State Government under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode is not available with the Ministry, said Muralidhar Mohol, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, in reply to an unstarred question by Smt. Phulo Devi Netam, Rajya Sabha MP from Chhattisgarh. He was giving the reply in Rajya Sabha.
