Chhattisgarh Assembly passes resolution for PM

RAIPUR: The Chhattisgarh State Assembly on Friday during the Monsoon Session passed a resolution congratulating Narendra Modi on becoming the Prime Minister of the country for the third consecutive time.

Discussing the resolution, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that Narendra Modi becoming Prime Minister for the third time is a historic achievement. He listed the achievements of the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi mainly, abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, and India standing as economically the fifth largest power in the world.

Sai shared his experience as Minister of State under Modi.  The PM had pledged that the government will be dedicated to the poor.

He recalled that when the Swachh Bharat Mission was announced from the ramparts of the Red Fort, some people used to ridicule. Can any Prime Minister think of the work of cleaning and construction of toilets?

“Today we all are coming to know how important the scheme is. Today we understood the importance of cleanliness. Every household has a toilet,” he said.

He spoke on electrifying the 14,000 villages, opening of Jan Dhan accounts, transfer of benefits directly into the bank accounts of beneficiaries, and works for farmers, poor and women, providing free Covid-19 vaccine, and other works.

The proposal was presented in the Assembly by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kedar Kashyap. Deputy Chief Ministers Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma, Finance Minister O.P. Chaudhary and other MLAs also expressed their views.
