RAIPUR: The Chhattisgarh State Level Steering Committee under the Pradhan Mantri E Bus Seva Yojana gave ex-post facto approval to buses for public transport facility in various cities of the state.
The decision was taken at the maiden meeting of the Committee held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan chaired by Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain.
The PM E Bus Seva Yojana has been started by the Central Government to improve the public transport infrastructure in cities. Under the scheme, the number of buses for cities has been determined by the states on the basis of population, in connection.
The committee has given ex post facto approval of the proposal for approval of 100 midi e-buses for Raipur, 50 midi e-buses for Durg Bhilai, 35 midi and 15 mini e-buses for Bilaspur and 20 midi and 20 mini e-buses for Korba. It was approved to send proposals worth Rs 70.34 crore for BTM and bus depot civil infrastructure to the Government of India.
