RAIPUR,CG: The ‘56th Central Regional Table Tennis and Badminton Competition’ organized by Life Insurance Corporation of India, Raipur Division will be held on August 6 and 7th at Sapre Shala Table Tennis Hall and Badminton Hall, Raipur. 

Sandhya Raj, Secretary and Organizing Secretary of LIC, Divisional Sports Coordination Committee, Raipur, said 08 divisional offices of the entire central region (MP and Chhattisgarh) - Raipur, Bilaspur Male and female winning players from Bhopal, Shahdol, Gwalior, Indore, Jabalpur and Satna will participate. A total of 30 players will participate. The competition will be inaugurated on 6th August at 10.30 am by the Chief Guest, Regional Manager (HRD) LIC, Central Regional Office, Bhopal, Sumit Kumar Dasgupta

The matches will start immediately after the formal opening ceremony. A cultural program has also been organized in the honour of the players on August 6 evening.

Raipur division, international player and many times former All India Life Insurance Corporation winner in the men's category Vinay Baiswade (directly eligible), Keshav Khandelwal (division winner) and in the women's category Sakshi Dhanvijay (division winner) and S. Harshvardhan Sharma (division winner) and in the women's category, All India LIC badminton team member Shaurya Yadu (directly eligible), international player and former multiple time All India Life Insurance Corporation winner Kavita Dixit (division winner) will represent Raipur division.
