RAIPUR,CG: During the main Independence Day event in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, the Chhattisgarh Police cavalry contingent put on a spectacular display in front of thousands of spectators. Led by Platoon Commander Yogesh Chandra, the team showcased 13 horses and their handlers in a series of thrilling performances.
The event began with Constable Santosh Sahu raising the flag while riding the horse Sarangi, followed by Constable Vikram Singh delivering a standing salute on horseback atop Ganga.
The demonstration continued with head constable Omprakash Yadav and constables Kumaresh Mistry, Dilip Karsh, and Ajay Jain performing tent pegging on horses Shakti, Rudra, Abha, and Ashwatthama, respectively. Show jumping was then executed by head constable Anil Kumar and constables Vikram Singh, Lokeshwar Sidar, and Dhaneshwar Kanwar on horses Kesari, Avni, Alaknanda, and Dhanush.
The event culminated in a gallop round by the entire cavalry contingent, leaving the audience in awe with their exhilarating performances.
