RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: Reaching village Telasi of Palari development block of Balodabazar district in Chhattisgarh on Wednesday, Collector Deepak Soni and SP Vijay Aggarwal took stock of the administrative preparations being made for the ‘Gurudarshan Fair. It is scheduled on October 12th at Telasibara, the birthplace of Baba Guru Ghasidas. Thousands of devotees from all over the country and state gather here for the fair.
The district administration visited various places with the people associated with the fair management and discussed in detail the issues related to the arrangements.
Mainly, he inspected the site of the temple complex, Bada, Jaitkham, parking area, security, lighting, drinking water system. He asked the concerned officials to further improve the cleanliness system. It was also asked to prepare the helipad in view of the VVIP movement.
Village Telasi is situated on the Bhaisa to Arang road, about 40 kilometers away from the district headquarters Balodabazar, the birthplace of Baba Guru Ghasidas is situated. It is also called the penance land of Sant Amar Das of Satnami sect and Telasi Bada by the local people. It is an important religious place for the people of Satnam sect. Around 1840, Telasi Bada was built by Balak Das, the second son of Guru Ghasidas and he continued his life in Telasi Bada, which is still present as an ancient historical heritage.
