RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: National Postal Week is being celebrated by the Department of Posts, Government of India in the state from October 7 to 11.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Director of Postal Services Dinesh Kumar Mistry said that various activities are being conducted by the Postal Department at various places across the state as part of the National Postal Week.
Mail and Parcel Day was observed on October 7. An awareness programme was conducted on the occasion.
Philately Day was observed on October 8. World Post Day was observed on Wednesday. “Fit Post,
Fit India” programme was conducted today. Saplings were planted as part of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign.
Chhattisgarh Postal Circle felicitated the winners of the international letter writing competition- namely Mahima Sinha, Sanskriti and Tanishka Yadav at the Main Post Office on Wednesday. Mahima Sinha, Sanskriti and Tanishka Yadav received prizes from Director Mistry.
Antoday Diwas will be celebrated on Thursday. Financial Empowerment Day will be observed on October 11, said Dinesh Kumar Mistry.
Through the celebration of National Postal Week, the Department of Posts is trying to take all its latest services to the public. By organizing the “Grahak Milan” programme in all divisions, the Department of Posts will also receive necessary suggestions for improving its facilities, he added.
