RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka participated in various Durga Puja celebrations organized by the Bengali community across Raipur on Friday.
Accompanied by First Lady Rani Deka Kakoti, the Governor visited multiple venues, offering prayers and extending his wishes for the prosperity of the country and the state.
Deka first visited the Durga idol installed by the Bengali Committee at Kalibari Chowk, where he offered prayers. He then proceeded to the Tatibandh puja pandal to pay homage to Maa Durga.
Earlier, the Governor attended the Durga Puja festivities at Kalibari Vaishali Nagar Bhilai, where he prayed at the Mahakali temple complex and in Lokangan. Local MLA Rikesh Sen and several distinguished citizens were present during the visit.
Deka also visited the Mahakali temple and Durga Pandal in Mana Camp, followed by the public Durga Puja Committee’s pandal in Mana Bazaar, offering floral tributes and prayers at each location. Area MLA Motilal Sahu was also in attendance.
