BILASPUR,CG,BHARAT: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, an A++ NAAC-accredited Central University, and Saraswati College Koni, part of Vidya Bharati Higher Education Institution, Chhattisgarh. The agreement aims to foster collaboration between the institutions in academic and administrative areas.
During the MoU signing, Vice-Chancellor Alok Kumar Chakrawal emphasized that higher education institutions must stay responsive to social concerns and embrace inclusivity in alignment with Indian traditions. Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya has already taken significant steps with initiatives like the Sudama Scheme, Swabhiman Thali Scheme, Shravann Line Scheme, and Swavalambi Chhattisgarh Scheme to support the approach.
Saraswati College, known for its commitment to high standards in school education, is now poised to extend these ideals into higher education. The Vice-Chancellor expressed optimism that the institution will set a new benchmark in quality education and teaching at the college level.
Brijendra Shukla, President of Saraswati College, welcomed the collaboration, highlighting the opportunities the MoU provides for expanding educational prospects for students across various fields.
Judhavan Singh, State President of Vidya Bharati Chhattisgarh, noted the essential role of education, culture, and literature in shaping a nation’s identity. He praised the contributions of the university to college development under the National Education Policy 2020.
Devanarayan Sahu, Regional Organization Secretary of Vidya Bharati Chhattisgarh, mentioned that Saraswati College in Bilaspur is the third institution under Vidya Bharati in the state, alongside others in Surguja and Jagdalpur. He expressed hope for future advancements in higher education as a result of the partnership.
Attendees included officials from Saraswati College, deans, department heads, faculty, researchers, and other distinguished guests from the university.
