IOC, Health department signs MoU for dialysis

RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: In a significant step to enhance dialysis facilities in Chhattisgarh, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed on Wednesday between the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Indian Oil Corporation, and Fairfax India Charitable Foundation under the Prime Minister’s National Dialysis Program.

As per the agreement, the Health Department will receive 39 dialysis machines from Indian Oil Corporation within the next month. These machines will be provided free of cost, and their repair and maintenance will be handled by Fairfax India Charitable Foundation.

The MoU was signed under the direction of Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, with Commissioner cum Director of Health Services Rituraj Raghuvanshi representing the department. The new machines are expected to provide significant relief to patients requiring dialysis, especially in newly formed districts and areas where existing machines are outdated or patient numbers are high.

Health Minister Jaiswal described the MoU as a meaningful step in improving healthcare in the state. He emphasized that the addition of these machines will accelerate testing and treatment processes, benefiting patients. The Minister also noted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, continuous efforts are being made to expand healthcare facilities, particularly in medical education and health services.
