BILASPUR,CG,BHARAT: The “Startup Sangam Conclave 2024” concluded on Friday at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), Bilaspur. Organized under the GGV Start Foundation and supported by the ITBI project funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, the event aimed to promote innovation and entrepreneurship while enhancing the university's academic standing on national and international platforms.
The conclave was coordinated by Dr. Suraj Sharma and Dr. Amit Kumar Khaskalam, with Professor Alok Kumar Singh Kushwaha serving as the event organizer.
The concluding ceremony featured Bilaspur Assistant Collector Tanmay Khanna as the chief guest. Khanna highlighted the importance of identifying individual potential and contributing to society through innovation. He commended the event for providing a platform for young minds to exhibit their creativity.
Cash prizes were awarded to the top performers, with 140 teams participating in the competition. Vinita Patel (ARG) secured the first prize of ₹50,000, followed by Team Princi Aman (Safe Guard Real-Time Privacy Policy, Analyzer and Risk Detector) receiving ₹30,000 as the second prize, and Team G. Damodar Rao (Cow Archie) earning ₹20,000 for third place.
The inaugural session was addressed by Professor S.C. Srivastava, Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology, with A.K. Tripathi, General Manager and Head of NTPC Sipat, serving as the chief guest.
The two-day conclave brought together over 250 participants, including entrepreneurs, startups, academicians, researchers, and students. Notable attendees included Ashish Khare, Co-Founder and CFO of Infano Care; Navdeep Arora, Investor and Entrepreneur; A.B. Mukherjee, Former Director of RPC, BARC Mumbai; Agranshu Dwivedi, CEO of NIDHI-ITBI, CSVTU; Rajdeep Devangan, Director of DFMA Technosol; and Ravi Kumar Tiwari, CEO of CVRU ITBI.
