RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: Former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel has formed a non-political organization “Chhattisgarh Mitan Club”.
The first meeting of the Chhattisgarh Mitan Club was held in his presence at Siddhi Vinayak Marriage Hall Sarona recently. Around 300 members of the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club from Korba, Rajnandgaon and other places attended the meeting. Senior Congress leader Girish Dewangan has been given the responsibility of the Chhattisgarh Mitan Club.
Baghel took an initiative to associate the members of the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs with a new organization- Chhattisgarh Mitan Club.
Pradeep Sharma, Girish Dewangan, Sunny Agrawal, Pramod Dubey, Hema Deshmukh and other Congress leaders attended the meeting.
The members of the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club previously received a monthly honorarium of Rs 1,000. However, after the BJP came to power in the state, the clubs were disbanded.
During a meeting, former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel remarked that while the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs were formed in the state, they failed to establish a distinct identity through their activities.
He urged the members to make their mark through meaningful work, emphasizing that an organization gains recognition through the efforts of its members, not merely through government support.
Baghel stressed that facing challenges after losing power helps build character and personality. He encouraged the members to focus on working for the welfare of the people.
The meeting also included discussions on future strategies. Plans were made to organize symposiums on various issues across different districts. Awareness initiatives, such as Prabhat Pheris, will also be conducted. Additionally, various groups will be formed to manage the club’s activities effectively. The next meeting of the club is scheduled to take place soon.
