RAIPUR/NEW DELHI,INDIA: Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma met Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in New Delhi on Mondayto discuss major tourism development projects for Chhattisgarh. Also present during the meeting were Vivek Acharya, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and Managing Director of the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board.
Sharma submitted two significant proposals for tourism development under the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme, worth approximately Rs 200 crore. The proposals aim to enhance the tourism infrastructure in Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Yagya Kund Complex in Champaran and the Bhoramdev Corridor in Kabirdham district.
The Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Yagya Kund Complex proposal includes beautification efforts for the complex, entrance gate, parking area, the grand statue of Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya, a museum, convention centre, Bhagwat Katha and discourse hall, children's garden, cafeteria, road construction, and basic facilities like drinking water, public toilets, and landscaping.
The Bhoramdeo Corridor Project focuses on the development and beautification of the Bhoramdev temple complex, tourist information centre, Shiv Plaza, Saroda Dam, children's park, guest house, library, museum, Bhandara Bhawan, fair ground, entrance gate, parking, as well as the beautification of Chherki Mahal, Madwa Mahal, Ramchua Temple, and construction of a ghat for water sports.
Union Minister Shekhawat expressed his appreciation for the proposals and assured full cooperation to the Chhattisgarh government for their successful implementation.
