Chhattisgarh: Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana to continue

RAIPUR: The Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, the input assistance scheme for farmers including the sugarcane crop will continue for Kharif year-2022, said Mohammed Akbar, Forest and Environment Minister after the cabinet.

He said as earlier years for Kharif-year-2022 the input scheme of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana will continue. The cabinet also gave nod to provide input assistance for the sugarcane based on registration and acreage. Similarly, provision of input aid worth Rs 10,000 per acre will be given on growing other crops instead of paddy during kharif season.

Making a minor change, the farmer beneficiary will not be eligible for registration on the same acreage/khasra for the next three years, after the expiry of three years of input aid eligibility (Plantation on paddy field).

Under the sugarcane incentive scheme, the remaining incentive amount of Rs 11.99 crore would be paid for the sugarcane crushing year 2020-21. It was also decided that the bonus of sugarcane crushing year 2021-22 would be adjusted with the exchange grant provided under Rajiv Gandhi Kisaan Nyay Yojana, he said.
