Chhattisgarh: NSO regional office holds cleanliness drive

RAIPUR: As part of creating awareness on cleanliness, the National Statistical Office (NSO), Regional Office Raipur on Thursday conducted a drive to clean the premises of Hatkeshwar Mahadev Temple and the surrounding premises of Mahadev Ghat (Kharun River).

Roshan Lal Sahu, Deputy Director General Regional Office Raipur, inaugurating it underlined the need for continuous awareness campaigns to maintain the cleanliness of the temple premises and ghat (banks).

NSO officers and employees carried out ‘Shramdaan’ (voluntary work) by cleaning the premises.

Similarly, ‘Special Campaign 2.0’, a cleanliness awareness drive was also held at Government Middle School premises, Mana Camp, Raipur.

The students were encouraged to use other eco-friendly alternatives instead of single use plastic.

Events are also scheduled on October 21 at Durg and Raipur.

The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Government of India, will be organizing the special campaign for disposal of pending cases, cleanliness in the office, Space Management, Record Digitization, Scrap disposal, and mitigation of compliance obligations at its regional offices. It would conclude on October 31.
