RAIPUR: Recalling his interaction under ‘Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan’ (public direct interaction) under Chandrapur State Assembly constituency, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said people after formation of new districts are enthusiastic.
Interacting with the media, he said in the last four and a half years, the state government has created 06 new districts and more than 85 tehsils. Recently, 10 more new subdivisions and 25 new tehsils were also dedicated.
He said similar fervour is seen among the beneficiaries of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Godhan Nyay Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana. Government has transferred Rs 1,900 crore directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. This has boosted the festivity of Diwali among the beneficiaries.
He said paddy procurement on support price will begin in the state from November 01. The preparations are to procure 1 crore metric tonnes of paddy as compared to last year's 98 lakhs metric tonnes. It would set a record in the state, since its formation.
On electricity bill half scheme, he said till date 42 lakh domestic consumers have been given relief of Rs 2,500 crore.
Underlining he said the state government is encouraging pulses, minor cereal crops. Arrangements have been made for purchase moong, urad, and tur on support price. The support price of Kodo-Kutki-Ragi has been announced and it will be also procured.
He said Chandrapur College will be named after the eminent litterateur Mukutdhar Pandey. He also spoke on various health schemes which are targeting the beneficiaries.
