CG News: Positive response on government schemes: CM

RAIPUR: There is a positive atmosphere and response on implementation of the Chhattisgarh government schemes and plans, as per the feedback from the people, said Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday.

Interacting with media at Circuit House of Janjgir-Champa, he said under Bhent Mulaqat (Direct public interaction) carried out in more than 40 assembly constituencies, the people have been coming up with positive responses on the government schemes and plans.

During the visits there is direct interaction with the people. They have responded to the queries in constructive notes. Feedback is also being taken, he said.

He said the state government has created new districts with a maximum number of tehsils. The reason is that the majority of work is done at the tehsil level. A minor part is carried out at the divisional level.

On a query, he said during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown the state government had provided free ration to the beneficiaries for three months. It was a practice that other states also adopted.

The stubble burning produces smoke and pollution. It needs to be eliminated, said Baghel. He added that the farmers and individuals should come forward to donate the hay to the Gauthans. It would benefit the cattle.

On demand raised by journalists, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel approved the construction of the Press Club building.
