Chhattisgarh’s 16 young scientists to participate in National event

RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh state’s 16 young scientists (students) will participate in the National Children’s Science Congress scheduled to be held at Ahmedabad (Gujarat).

The students have been selected on the basis of the State Level Children's Science Congress held at Raipur on Saturday, the concluding day. Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology announced the winners, an official communication said.

The Director General, Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology, Dr. S. Karmakar, said that Science Congress helps the children to harness their creativity and innovative thinking to reach the result. They should be motivated and encouraged to do better in the field of research.

Pt. Ravi Shankar University Vice Chancellor Prof. KL Verma said such an event helps for development of a scientific temperament in children.

Karmakar said, the dates for National Children's Science Congress will be announced. The theme is “Ecosystem, health and well-being”.

In the state level event, a total of 1305 projects from 26 districts and 130 projects were presented in virtual mode. Out of it 16 projects were selected to participate in the National Children's Science Congress, said Karmakar.

The selected students are Priyansh Bhaduri, Nandita Kewat, Rupshikha Sahu, Disha Sahu, Priyanshu Patel, Radhika Kanwar, Bhumika Joshi, Anvika Gupta, Koram Samuel, Maheshwar Sahoo, Jhanvi Thakur, Kiran Kanwar, Khushi Jha, Manohar Baghel, Radhika, and Ananya Singh.
