BAGBAHARA: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday underlined the need for creating awareness among villagers regarding the schemes like ‘Narva’, gauthans, Rural Industrial Parks and other schemes.
He was holding a review meeting with officials at Bagbahara Circuit House of Khallari Assembly Constituency in Mahasamund district, an official communication said.
Baghel said the ‘Narva’ project will ultimately benefit the farmers with ground water recharging. So, there is a need to accelerate the project implementation. It should also be given wide publicity, so that awareness is created.
He sought detailed status of Narva projects in Mahasamund district, on which Chief Executive Officer said that the district has 54 projects. Baghel then laid emphasis on the need for implementing the projects at a faster pace.
He asked the officials to make regular purchases of cow dung as complaints of irregular procurement.
The other complaint was finding higher soil content in vermicompost. There is a need for quality management and regular monitoring, he said.
The Chief Minister said district officials need to ensure that hay stubble is not burnt on the fields. The famers be made aware of its harmful effects. The ‘hay donation’ campaign should continue.
The farmers are asked to take up pulses and oil seeds farming.
He asked officials to conduct a survey of the families left out of the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhoomiheen Majdoor Nyay Yojana.
He assured that quality would not be affected and asked to work on the ‘Nal-Jal Yojana’ project as a whole to complete it on time.
Baghel asked police officers to remain watchful and take stern action on the sale of cannabis and illegal alcohol. The fake products in agriculture are mainly pesticides and insecticides including fertilizers.
The District Chief Minister Officer should not indulge in turning the hospital into a referral facility, said the Chief Minister in a stern note.
There is a need to study the rise in kidney related complaints. The officials need to resolve the Churki village's fluoride related complaint in drinking water, he said.
The officers and employees need to work with dedication and honesty. The transferred employees will be relieved and monitor the presence of teachers in schools, he said.
