Extending wishes, Baghel said with working on state culture, health and education, the farmers are happy. The women's faces glow with confidence as they are becoming self-reliant. This was the dream seen by forefathers as it is being realised.

He said the journey of the state government began four years ago with waiver of loans of farmers, laying the vision of Mahatma Gandhi through ‘Suraji Gaon Yojna’ to make the villages self-supporting.

The 9,000 Gauthans became the centre of economic activities in the villages led by women. The conversion of cow-dung as vermicompost has opened a path for organic farming and revenue generation.
