CG NEWS: Cabinet ayes Women Entrepreneurship Policy 2023

RAIPUR: The Chhattisgarh cabinet on Thursday approved the proposal to include the Women Entrepreneurship Policy 2023 while amending the Industrial Policy 2019-24. The aim is to empower women and enhance their economic status.

The Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel chaired the cabinet meeting at his official residence office on Thursday here.

 

The pledge of Chief Minister to upgrade Gram Panchayats of Sambalpur in Bemetara district, Bhanwarpur in Mahasamund district, and Lal Bahadur Nagar in Rajnandgaon district into Nagar Panchayats was fulfilled with cabinet nod. A decision has been taken to provide concessions based on the prescribed population criteria.


Under the public distribution system in the state, a decision has been made to procure the required quantity of sugar for distribution to ration cardholders under Antyodaya and priority categories from the state's cooperative sugar mills from April 2023 to March 2024. The purchase price of sugar has been set at Rs 33,000 per ton.


Decision was made regarding the implementation of the Industrial Training Institute Development Scheme in partnership with Tata Technological Services Limited, concerning the terms and conditions of the Memorandum of Understanding.


The Non-Government Higher Secondary School, Chaparwa, Development Block Lormi, administered by Senior Social Worker Shri Prabhudatt Khera, is currently managed by the Forest Teacher Committee. A decision has been made to include the 7 employees already working at the school in the approved setup.


A government service appointment will be given to a member of the deceased Sahu’s family who was involved in the incident on 8/04/2023, in Gram Biranpur, Tehsil-Saja, Bemetara District.


Decisions were made regarding the project implementation processes under the Tripartite Agreement and Project Implementation Plan for the CHIRAAG (Chhattisgarh Inclusive Rural and Accelerated Agriculture Growth) project, funded by the World Bank and IFAD (International Fund for Agricultural Development).


A decision has been made to provide an exemption of the prescribed 8 percent for a one-time increment for promotion to the post of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon (Class-II) from the BVSc (Bachelor of Veterinary Science) program passed Assistant Surgeon (Gazetted-II) cadre.


The compensation amount paid for the total area of 1012.48 acres of land in Gram Chakarbhata, Bilaspur, for the establishment of a military cantonment by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, will be returned.


The state government has also decided to carry over the loan amounts from R.E.C. Limited and P.F.C. Limited, the transmission companies, in order to pay off the outstanding electricity bills of government departments, in compliance with the mandatory requirement of the R.D.S.S. scheme.
