CG News: Several amendment bills get cabinet nod

RAIPUR: Ahead of the Chhattisgarh State Assembly Monsoon session, the cabinet approved several amendment bills on Thursday.

 

The draft of the Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill 2023, for the presentation of the First Supplementary demands for the year 2023-2024, has been approved by the cabinet.

 

The amendment to the Chhattisgarh State Administrative Service (Classification, Recruitment, and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2023, and Chhattisgarh Private Universities (Establishment and Operation) (Amendment) Bill, 2023, Amendment to the Chhattisgarh State Hydropower Project (Pump Storage-based) Establishment Policy, 2022, amendment to the Chhattisgarh Government Store Purchase Rules, 2002 (as amended in 2022) and the amendment draft of the Indian Stamp Act, 1999 (Chhattisgarh Amendment) Bill, 2023 has been approved.

 

The others include guidelines for the implementation of the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Landless Agriculture Laborers NYAY Scheme, inclusion of the Fourth Schedule and scrapping of old vehicles in the Chhattisgarh Motor Vehicle Taxation Act, 1991, while implementing the Central Motor Vehicles (24th Amendment) Rules, 2021.

 

The validity period of the merit list for the recruitment of Food Inspectors declared in 2022 has been increased by 6 months.

 

An exemption will be provided to applicant Raipur Raj Devangan Kalyan Samaj, Raipur in the specified interest amount for the allocated government land in Gram Raipura, for the construction of the Social Building and Student Hostel by the society.

 

It was decided to reduce the market value guideline rates by 30 per cent to facilitate affordable housing for the general public. The reduction, which was effective until March 31, 2023, has been extended until March 31, 2024.

 

A decision has been made to provide exemptions in stamp duty, registration fees, and municipal taxes based on the due amount during allocation of government land in urban areas, managing encroached land, and converting leaseholds into land ownership rights.
