RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday said the development model of the state has got a new identity which has become a point of discussion across the country.
He was addressing the launching of a new digital channel 'Chhattisgarh Tak', in a function ‘Chhattisgarh Tak Baithaak’ program held at a private hotel, here during evening hours. He wished the group for the launch.
He said as a result of the public welfare schemes run by the state government, there has been prosperity in every class of people. Be it rural or urban areas, people living in every area have got ample opportunities for progress.
He said the Suraji village scheme is being implemented as per the path shown by Mahatma Gandhi for the integrated development of the state. The villages, poor, farmers, labourers and all classes are getting full benefits of the schemes.
Baghel added that Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Parks are being opened in every village to make villages centres of production under Godhan Nyaya Yojana. The employment opportunities are easily available to the villagers. They, especially women, are also getting better income. Along with the development of villages, work is on to make villages self-reliant.
It does not mean the urban areas are being left out, he said.
Listing out of the schemes, he said Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Godhan Nyay Yojana and Rajiv Gandhi Rural Landless Agricultural Laborer Justice Yojana, have helped the society especially farmers, labourers, women, tribals and youth and the poor. And the work of welfare and uplift of people of all classes including the weaker sections is being done.
