RAIPUR: To encourage young entrepreneurs from rural and urban areas of Chhattisgarh, a pitchathon on the lines of Shark Tank will be organized in Raipur.

It will play a major role in promoting local startups along with employment-livelihood oriented works related to rural industrial parks, an official communication said.

Local young entrepreneurs will also get the guidance and mentorship they need to start and grow their businesses successfully. The young entrepreneurs and startups of the state will present their business ideas to successful entrepreneurs and investors.

Headstart Network Foundation in association with Rural Industrial Park (RIPA), IITs and NITs of Raipur district is organizing the event.

District Panchayat CEO Abinash Mishra said that local entrepreneurs and organizations are being encouraged to participate in the event. Entrepreneurs can submit online applications by visiting www.headstart.in website. Selected local entrepreneurs after scrutiny of applications will be included in India Pitchathon 2.0 on August 09 at the Civil Line Firstup Space office in Raipur city.

Startup presentation and discussion of selected local entrepreneurs will be done by the selection committee. Various sponsors will also be involved in this program who will also provide financial support and technical assistance to the entrepreneurs as per their requirement.
