DHAMTARI: The ‘First Chhattisgarh State Ranking Table Tennis Competition-2023’ on Friday began at Gujarati Samaj Bhawan, Baniapara, Dhamtari. It will conclude on August 6.

Dhamtari District Table Tennis Association under the aegis of Chhattisgarh Table Tennis Association is organizing the event.

The Youth Under-17 (Junior) boys and girls singles category and Youth Under-13 (Cadet) boys and girls singles category are being played in the final round.

Rajesh Sharma, Secretary of Dhamtari District Table Tennis Association, said youth UNDER-17 (Junior) boys and girls singles category and Youth UNDER-13 (Cadet) boys and girls singles category quarter final matches have been played and semi-final and final matches are yet to be played.

As per the results, Youth Under-17 (Junior) Boys Category Karan Malhotra (Raipur), Arjun Malhotra (Raipur), Yashwant Dekate (Raipur) and Andrew T Williams (Raipur) entered the semi-finals.

Youth Under-17 (Junior) girls Category Aarna Khotele (Raipur), Pragya Pathak (Durg), Charvi Madharia (Durg) and Priya Maravi (Bilaspur) entered in the semi-finals.

Youth Under-13 (Cadet) Boys Singles Category semifinalists are Aarav Jain (Durg), Yuvraj Banjare (Bilaspur), Dikshant Jangde (Bilaspur) and Kavish Kala (Raipur).

Youth Under-13 (Cadet) Girls Singles Category Semi-finalists are Siya Meghani (Bilaspur), Nehal Verma (Balodabazar), Kashmi Jain (Durg) and Ananya Gotekar (Rajnandgaon) said Vinay Baiswade.
