RAIPUR: One has to take the pledge that whatever responsibility is being given, it is our duty. Everyone should fulfill it with complete dedication. It will be the true contribution towards the nation, said Raipur Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure.
He was addressing the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ program organized by the district administration at Mana Basti on the concluding session of ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ of Independence. The families of army soldiers and martyrs were honored.
He said Meri Mati Mera Desh Abhiyan is dedicated to the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country. The soil will be collected from the corners of the country in 7,500 urns and taken to Delhi. Due to which Amrit Vatika will be made there, which will be the source of our inspiration.
Collector Dr. Bhure administered the oath of ‘Panchpran’ to the present army soldiers and students. He also participated in plantation drives.
ITBP martyrs Sanjay Gupta, Rajesh Kumar, Jaipal, Shiv Prasad, and Dinesh all martyrs were honored in the programme. Subedar Major Devendra Kumar received it on behalf of all the martyrs.
CRPF jawan martyr Bhrigu Nandan Chaudhary and Harish Krishnau, his family members received the honor on his behalf. Sergeant Mustafa Ali, a martyr of the Air Force and recipient of the Shaurya Chakra, was also honored. Sergeant Rahut Rawat received the honor on his behalf.
It was jointly organized by the district administration and Nehru Yuva Kendra.
