RAIPUR: The Model polling booths have been decorated with ‘Chhattisgarhia theme’ for happy voting, play zone for children and comfortable seating arrangement for the elderly.

All these arrangements are for the election, the biggest festival in democracy. To make the democratic festival memorable for the citizens, model polling centres have been set up in all the state assembly constituencies for happy voting in Raipur district.

The booths have been decorated during festivals.

The model polling station of Dharampura is decorated with an ecological theme. The polling station of Paragaon reflects the Chhattisgarhi theme. The Model polling station located at Civil Lines has special seating facilities for the elderly. Baby feeding centres have also been set up for pregnant women. Kid zones have been created for small children, where children can play while their mothers can vote. Besides, there is a provision of wheelchairs for the disabled people.

Collector and District Election Officer Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure said that to give a glimpse of the beautiful traditions of Chhattisgarh, decoration has been decorated with beautiful pictures and symbols and have also made some displays. The basic facilities have also been taken care of.

Selfie zones have also been created in these model polling stations. Youth and other people voting for the first time will be able to take their selfie here after voting. The experience of ideal polling stations will be unique for all citizens, he said.
