Chhattisgarh winter assembly session from today

Raipur, CG: The first session of the Sixth Legislative Assembly of Chhattisgarh will start from December 19 at 11.00 am.

On the first day of the session, newly elected members will take oath. Senior MLA of the Sixth Legislative Assembly, Protem Speaker Ram Vichar Netam will administer the oath to the new member.

Chhattisgarh Governor will address the session on December 20 at 11.00 am.

Preparations for the first session of the Sixth Legislative Assembly are being made.

On the first day of the session, all the newly elected MLAs will be welcomed with a bouquet at the main gate. Folk dances focusing on folk art and folk culture of Chhattisgarh will also be seen in the assembly premises.

Elaborate security arrangements have been made in the Assembly during the session period. Only people holding admit cards will be eligible to enter the Legislative Assembly premises. It will be mandatory for the persons holding admit cards to have their institute's identity card or Aadhaar card.

Only MLAs will be allowed to reach the VIP gate. The session will conclude on December 21.

The session will witness the passing of the supplementary budget to meet the demands of the promises made during the election. Congress had already elected Leader of Opposition as Dr Charan Das Mahant.
