RAIPUR, CG: Several events are being organised at the district level, municipality, ward, block, gram panchayat level and in schools, colleges and Anganwadi centres to mark the ‘Veer Bal Diwas.
The experiences of freedom fighters and former winners of the Prime Minister's National Children's Award (PRA) were shared. Under the Veer Bal competition, painting, recitation, singing, poetry and essay competitions were organized on the theme of bravery. The winners of the Veer Bal competition will be awarded on Veer Bal Diwas on December 26th.
Veer Bal Diwas is celebrated in the country to commemorate the supreme sacrifice and courage of the sons of Guru Gobind Singh. Its objective is to establish and strengthen the values and contribution towards nation building among the youth and adolescents, countrymen and women. Teenage girls and boys were motivated to register on My Bharat Portal and take an oath for a developed India. Activities organized for the youth have also been uploaded in the portal.
On December 26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's message will be broadcasted in all registered child care institutions. The screening of audio-visuals made by the Ministry of Culture, a digital exhibition based on Veer Bal Diwas will be organized. Women and Child Development Department, Sports and Youth Welfare Department, Panchayat, Higher Education and Urban Administration Department have been made the nodal agency for the event.
