CG NEWS: Chamber's technical team meets State GST Commissioner

RAIPUR,CG: State President of Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries Amar Parwani led delegation met state GST Commissioner Rajat Bansal requesting to retain the previous notification related to e-way bill intact under Ease of Doing Business.

He pointed out that it will automatically stop the various notices being given to the traders by the GST Department in different districts of the state. The delegation submitted a memorandum along with a copy of the notice received from the traders.

Parwani said that GST Commissioner Rajat Bansal responded positively and said that appropriate steps should be taken.

Additional Commissioner T.R. Dhurve and Deputy Commissioner Manish Mishra were also present.

Parwani further said that the complexity of the new Act, coupled with ignorance of the portal, has led to unintentional errors and delays in compliance, hence various notices like GSTR-1 are being continuously sent by the department to the traders of the state and districts. There should be a ban on penalty notices for late filing of forms.
