CG NEWS: Nature has to be made green: Minister

KAWARDHA,CG: Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma on Tuesday planted trees in Kabirdham district under the ‘Ek Ped Maa ke Naam’ campaign.

Distinguished citizens of the district, public representatives, members of Scout Guide, members of Haritima Group and officials planted saplings in Kawardha Forest Division. Deputy Chief Minister flagged off the Strike Force vehicle for free sapling distribution.

He said nature has to be made green, a tree has to be planted in the name of mother. He said that Ek-Ped Maa-Ke-Naam was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5th. It is basically a tree plantation campaign.

Sharma said to get free saplings, QR code can be filled by the department. Codes have been issued. Through which the plant can be obtained by scanning. Along with it, 03 contact numbers have also been issued. In which demand for saplings will be made from Monday to Friday and saplings will be distributed on Saturday and Sunday.
