RAIPUR,CG: A special campaign is set to launch in Chhattisgarh to ensure the benefits of state and central government schemes reach the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) areas through the initiative of beneficiary saturation camps from August 23 to September 10, 2024.

The Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department, led by Principal Secretary Sonmani Borah, has issued guidelines for a mega event and an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign to be conducted across 18 districts in the state in September.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually participate in these events during the first week of September 2024, engaging directly with PVTG families. Borah said the Prime Minister will address a national mega event organized under the PM Janman scheme in Jharkhand, where he will connect with PVTG settlements across the country via two-way connectivity. A PVTG-dominated district in Chhattisgarh will be chosen for the state-level mega event.

In addition to the mega event, district-level programs will be organized in all PM Janman districts in Chhattisgarh. Arrangements are being made to ensure seamless two-way connectivity, allowing the Prime Minister's address and interaction to be broadcast live across all events. Local MLAs and public representatives will participate in these programs, which will also feature cultural performances.

To further support the initiative, beneficiary saturation camps will be conducted from August 23, 2024, to September 10, 2024, aiming to achieve 100% coverage of immediate activities in all PVTG settlements. These camps will focus on issuing Aadhaar cards, opening Jan Dhan accounts, distributing Ayushman Bharat cards, and providing forest rights certificates, ration cards, caste certificates, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, PM Matru Vandana Yojana benefits, Kisan Credit Cards, Sickle Cell testing, and basic health facilities.

The camps will be intensively conducted across all PVTG settlements and districts, with a primary emphasis on UIDAI enrollment, Aadhaar issuance, and the opening of bank accounts under PM Jan Dhan. Additional services, such as Ayushman Bharat cards, community certificates, and Sickle Cell testing, will be provided. Information on PM Janman-approved activities, including Pradhan Mantri Awas (Rural), connectivity roads, mobile medical units, tap water supply, and electrification, will also be disseminated.
