Administrative Review: Underlines to maintain sense of responsibility

* Governor emphasizes community participation in Water Conservation

MAHASAMUND,CG: Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka has called for increased community participation in efforts to conserve water and protect the environment, urging everyone to plant a tree to improve environmental conditions.

He shared these views during a meeting with administrative officers held on Friday at the District Panchayat Mahasamund's meeting hall.

The Governor reviewed the implementation of various central and state government schemes in Mahasamund district. He sought updates on the progress of these schemes, particularly those aimed at social welfare. He stressed the importance of officers and employees executing their duties with a sense of responsibility, honesty, and dedication, ensuring that the benefits of welfare schemes reach every individual.

Deka specifically highlighted the need for water conservation efforts, urging all government offices to implement water harvesting systems and ensure the conservation of rainwater. He emphasized that every government officer and employee should prioritize human sensitivity in their work.

He also encouraged the broader community to support the Prime Minister's ‘Mother Tree’ initiative by planting a tree in every household. He suggested that the Forest Department provide a variety of shady and fruitful plants, including Peepal and Gulmohar, and ensure their protection through community involvement. Additionally, he recommended planting medicinal plants.

In his review of the T.B. Free India Campaign, the Governor underscored the importance of eradicating tuberculosis and called for the active involvement of Mitanin and Asha Didis in this effort. He also instructed officials to engage farmers through cooperatives and ensure the active participation of villagers in these initiatives.

During the meeting, members of 10 Bihan women's groups presented handmade items to Governor Deka, who praised their work and expressed his intent to visit them in the future to observe their progress.

Earlier, upon his arrival at Circuit House Mahasamund, the Governor was given a guard of honor. He was welcomed by local MLA and former MLAs and administrative officials.

Several local public representatives and citizens also paid a courtesy visit to the Governor.
