“Our Toilet, Our Respect” Campaign in Bemetara

BEMETARA,CG,BHARAT: World Toilet Day, observed every year on November 19, aims to raise awareness about the importance of sanitation and toilet facilities.

Bemetara district will launch the “Hamara Toilet, Hamara Samman” campaign to promote cleanliness and advance the Swachh Bharat Mission. The campaign will run from November 19, focusing on the message that toilets are not just basic amenities, but symbols of self-respect and healthy living.

The primary goal of the campaign is to emphasize that toilets play a vital role in hygiene, dignity, and health. It aims to inspire communities to take responsibility for sanitation and help make Bemetara an open defecation-free (ODF) district.

The campaign will kick off on November 19 with a meeting of the District Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural) Management Committee. The campaign launch will take place in the village of Kirki, Saja block. Several events will follow:

Dignity Camp: Held in Kirki village to connect Swachhagrahis with public welfare schemes.

Toilet Acceptance Letters: Beneficiaries of new toilets will receive their acceptance letters.

Felicitation Ceremony: Individuals, institutions, and gram panchayats who have excelled in toilet construction and cleanliness will be honored. This will encourage others to participate in the campaign.

Digital Outreach: Information and awareness about the campaign will be spread through social media, videos, posters, and stories to engage the public.

The top three beneficiaries of individual toilets in each block will be honored at the block level.

At the district level, the top five beneficiaries will be recognized.

Gram Panchayats with the best community toilets will also receive awards at the block and district levels.
