Entries open for National Media Award 2024

RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: Media institutions across the country have been invited to submit their entries for the prestigious National Media Award 2024, presented by the Election Commission of India (ECI). The last date for submissions is December 10, and entries can be sent to the Commission’s office at Ashoka Road, New Delhi.

The National Media Award is conferred annually to honour exceptional contributions in voter education and awareness. This year, awards will be presented in four categories: print media, television, radio, and online/social media platforms. The selected winners will be recognized on National Voters’ Day, celebrated on January 25, 2025.

The Election Commission aims to acknowledge and promote the efforts of media organizations in enhancing voter participation, ensuring smooth electoral processes, and educating citizens about voting procedures and related IT applications. The award also highlights impactful stories about unique or remote polling stations and initiatives encouraging voter registration and turnout.

The recognition underscores the crucial role of the media in fostering informed and active participation in the democratic process. Media houses that have made notable contributions in 2024 are encouraged to submit their work for consideration.
