RAIPUR: Prof. (Dr.) Piyush Kant Pandey, Vice-Chancellor of Amity University Chhattisgarh, officially inaugurated the Annual Techno-Cultural Fest known as "AmiSpark 2023" in the university's auditorium. A melodious Saraswati Vandana was recited in the beginning of the program and a mesmerizing “Ganesh Vandana Dance was performed by Ms. Asmita Tiwari of BBA. And the welcome address was given by Dr. VaraprasadKolla, DSW, Convener of "AmiSpark 2023. The program was well attended by the Deputy Pro-VC, Deans, Directors, Heads, Faculties and large number of students. In his speech, Prof. (Dr.) Piyush Kant Pandey observed that the day was very fortunate because it was the great poet and author Rabindranath Tagore's birth anniversary. He opined that the Amity University strives for the holistic development of students through world class education and equal emphasis on co and extracurricular activities. He advised the students against doing anything inappropriate by quoting lines from Rabindranath Tagore's famous poem "Where the Mind Is Without Fear" because only a well-educated, skilled, and moral person can live without fear and hold his head high. Prof. Pandey also advised the students, in order to achieve success in life, to value and maximise their use of time. AmiSpark is a three-day techno cultural festival (May 09–11, 2023) that will feature a more than 75 varieties of fresh and interesting events in which students from across the state will compete to show case their talents. The gala fest's events range from Ad Mad Show to Amivibe - the music fiesta, Amity Battleground Series, Clue-Minati, Comedy Sutra, Corporate Roadies, Drain Your Brain, Ek Jut, Abhikalp, Fashion Show, Funathlon, Gaze the Maze, Face off Royale, Rhythh Riot, Heatwaves, Dance Drama the D-D Show, Lex Clip, The Rope Warriors, Mobile Photography, Munch Ka MuQadar The festivities will also include participation from students from the university and other reputable institutions in the state.
